China invest millions in solar technology made in Spain by Abengoa


Abengoa drives huge investment in solar technology by spanish firm Abengoa 


When you’re a country of nearly 1400 million investment quality they are critical. China for its size and its pressing need to reduce pollution continues to expand its renewable energy market and Abengoa is on its radar priorities.

CLEAN ENERGY XXI. Abengoa (MCE: ABG / P: SM), an international company that promotes and produces innovative technology solutions for sustainable development in the infrastructure, energy and water, has recently been selected for the supply of technology and engineering for two projects solar thermal in the PRC.

The first one, held for the company SEPCO III Electric Power Construction Corporation, is providing technology and engineering development project of the solar power plant tower molten salt 50 MW Luneng Haixi State in Qinghai and the support during construction.

This project is part of the renewable energy program launched by the Chinese government in order to achieve a solar thermal installed base of at least 27 GW by 2030. The developer Luneng Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of the State Grid Corporation of China, which focuses on the sectors of real estate and energy since 2002.

Notably, the firm Abengoa will be responsible for providing the technology manifold new generation E2, development of engineering and provide technical support to the project Royal Tech Yumen, a solar thermal plant parabolic trough of 50 MW, to be located in the Gansu province. This project is done for SRT (Shuangliang Royal Tech CSP Technology Co., Ltd), a company dedicated to the research and promotion of solar thermal technology concentration, and is part of the solar thermal demonstration program launched by the Chinese government, which is rolling through the development of a first batch of 20 projects with 1.35 GW.
