Sustainble Development / ENERGIA LIMPIA XXI. Wind energy projects continue to grow in South America, particularly in Brazil. In recent days, BNDES annouced that is allocating US $ 100 million dollar fund for wind energy in Brazil, with support from Japan Bank for International Cooperation – JBIC. The funds will help to develop 12 wind farms in the states of Bahia and Pernambuco, with a total installed capacity of 331.85 MW and investments that exceed R $ 2 billion.
“With this operation, BNDES continues its strategy of diversifying financing sources and attracting resources that promote sustainable projects in Brazil”, says the Director of Finance, Bianca Nasser.
