Private companies are supporting efforts of the Ministry of Education to promote environmental protection through its “Eco-Schools” program. The Nicaragua Foundation for Sustainable Development (FUNDENIC-SOS), announced that young people are doing theoretical and practical classes based on the three “R’s” of sustainable development: recycling, reforestation, renewables. Jose Adan Aguerri, President of the Superior Council of Private Enterprise (COSEP), applauded the efforts and noted that environmental education and preservation is a priority issue for the country.
