China Nicaragua : Greater cooperation to promote clean energy use.

ENERGIA LIMPIA XXI. In support of the National Program for Sustainable Electrification and Renewable Energy in Nicaragua (PNESER), Minister of Energy and Mines Salvador Mansell announced yesterday the signing of a US$357.4 million-dollar agreement with China Comunications Construction Company Limited (CCCC South) of the Peoples Republic of China. The funding is intended for expansion and modernization of the Mojolka hydroelectric plant in the Tuma river and the

El Hato solar energy project in Terrabona municipality, both in Matagalpa department. Energía Limpia XXI reports that according to Informe Pastran the CCCC South company will invest US$49.1 million dollars to support the Nicaragua Electric Mobility Project, promote introduction of electrical vehicles into the country, advance in the building of power charging infrastructure and create local capability to operate and give maintenance to the new technology.
